Recently, I stayed at a five star resort. Apparently, they say the room was in need of excessive cleaning and repairs, which I don't feel was the case. A total of $500.00 was charged to my credit card, without ANY authorization. I signed no documentation saying I understood this could be done. The management only had my card information as that was orginally how I was going to pay the balance on the room. However, I decided later to pay with travler's checks and the clerk advised me he would no longer need my card. Is this legal? I didn't sign anything and was never advised this was possible or could be possible! Bare in mind, I was sent no bill, no written or verbal notification at all. The only way I found out was by my detailed bank statement. Do I have any recourse? Is this legal or what? Please Help!
