LO< you read very well. Yes on everything, except that your state may have it's own laws about the amount of the mortgage transaction and how far back they can go.

Otherwise, send the letter, and just keep an eye on your reports. It doesn't mean they can put this debt back on the report, it just means that the mortgage report can go back further than 7 years.
