The first step fo the CA is the validation. If the CA is out of state check the SOL for the state they are to be sure. They can sue in either state. 60-70% of debts in collection are not verified by CAs, I think it is really more than that.

As fare as selling the debt make sure you agrement mentions that the debt will be paid in full, All tradelins are marked as paid as agreed andall delinquencie, lates and chargeoffs are removed. Also incluse a nondisclosure statement.

Never sign anything you send out and always crrr. make sure you have signed agreement from creditor before any payment is sent. Remeber if to pay it starts time for reporting over again.
