That use to be the case. I think nowadays it doesn't really matter. Most CRAs get your info from creditors (or even applications that you filled out but never opened an account)and most of them subscribe to all three. Reporting is a bit different than inquiring. Reporting probably will be done to all 3. Inquiring, maybe only one.
