I am in the exact same situation. I have some bogus $160 collection on my report from Gulfstate Credit. It has been deleted and keeps magically reappearing. I am also very seriously interested in taking legal action. I also have another bogus $505 collection from NCO. What is really irritating... these collection are bogus! They date back to the mid 90's and have just recently showed up on my credit report.
