I was not "legally" served...but my roommate told me about the courtdate. It's a lawsuit that started 6 years ago...i made an agreement to pay on the debt monthly but then got laid off...they served me to appear in court about 3 years ago to get my tax refunds...I had none so the judge told them (plaintiff) that they'd have to try again next year. Nothing happened until now. I've thrown all the papers out b/c i thought it was over. If i don't show will there be a judgement? If i do show does the SOL start all over again? the debt is 10k or more with attorney's fees, interest and it's in texas. it was when i was in business for myself and my client didn't pay me so i couldn't pay this company for their services. what should i do?????? eeeek.
