That's what I figured, basically that I had somehow re-started the 7 year clock. However, (at least for now) my (Experian)CR still lists the charge-off as coming off in 2004. I kind of figured it might just be best just to let this sleeping dog lie.
Do you think that such a small amount is a bargaining point with Sears?? I'd gladly pay it off in full, at once, in exchange for deletion. Don't know if they'd even bother with it, though.

Also, what gives with the listing of charge off's in time periods like 3-98 to 5-98, 2-99 to 10-99....(there's about 5 time periods listed)?? Not really trying to dispute that, yet :-), just trying to make heads-or-tails of it!
