There is a site that has a alot of good information about helping people obtain checking acounts. It is www.chexvictims.com Go to the list of good banks. I think I read that if you are rejected, you should reapplly without trying to get overdraft protection. (I think whychat already said that too). Course this site is for people that have had their name turned into Chex systems, and your record is clean with them so I think that woman was just blowing smoke, definitly go to a different bank, jeeze that woman that was rude to you isn't any better than anyone else. Having your name with Chex, is what gets you turned down for checking accounts most of the time, not your credit, it is usually only when you ask for overdraft protection and sometimes a check card (ie visa that comes out of your checking account) that prompts them to check your credit. Anyway, I hope that site helps you, Darry30
