hi, i havent got to read to many of the posting here yet, but from what i read it looks like this site will be quite helpful. my first question is, when i was 19 i got into a little to much debt with to high of interest then i couldnt pay on all of it, hence, i have bad credit now. one of my accounts is bellsouth, it was sold to afni, does anyone know how to get ahold of them? i also have heilig meyers, as far as i know they r going or went bankrupt. i also have a van that i gave back, they put on my credit report involuntary reposesion, also there is united national credit bank, that was a scam that i got suckered into, anyone could get the credit card but they charged like $300, the limit on your account, for some book on credit. it was a charge off, and jc penney was a charge off. i have several good things on my report now, all of my current things on it r good. i am planning to start paying off my bad credit credit, does anyone have any advice on where to start and how to go about doing it. the other thing is i have two neg. things at chex systems, one was becasue someone charged something to my account using my check card number after i closed my account, so they said my account was overdrawn or something of that nature. and the other i wrote some bad checks, and i didnt have the money to fix them. should i call the bank and see if they will work with me, or is there a better way to go about it? any help would greatly be appreciated. the total of my bad credit debt is $5000 if that makes any difference, the van is $2000 and heilig meyers is $2000, the others r all about $300. thanks for any advice. one more question, once i get them all paid off, can i get them taken off, or will they stay saying paid off, but still show that they were bad? thanks, jeremy
