As I have said before, the system is not set up for people to pay their debts. There is a catch 22 in the "industry" of debt collection. If you ignore the collectors they call you a deadbeat.if you pay, they lie and misreport it back to the original creditor so you get stuck with a tax bill. The moral is- don't settle, don't pay, do BK if you have to.
