Is there a difference between a collection agency and a "debt collector"...the closing tag line of the correspondence says "This is an attempt to collect a debt. Any information obtained will be used for that purpose. This communication is from a debt collector."---if there is a difference, what should I do to determine if this is a true collection agency...either way is the C&D letter my next step? And if it is misrepresenting itself, I would complete the reporting procedure as well. Thanks for your continued help!!!!
