Those darned public letters get attention with a lot of companies.

I think I would get hold of the entire amount they say (like get a payoff amount for a a certain date so they don't get you with trailing interest) and have an attorney handle paying them off once and for all. Then I would sue the beejeesus out of them, and get it all back with interest, and then some. You won't be alone. That's why I won't take one of their cards - the horror stories are much worse than Providian horror stories.
