Chex systems is a CRA that deals exclusively with banks. They make Experian, Exquifax and TU look like amatures. But they a legally bound to follow the same rules of every other CRA.

You get on chexsystems by bouncing check, NSF activity, and mainly bank stupidity and errors. Chex doe not report positive information only negetive.

Chex reports to 80% of banks in the country so finding a bank that doesnt use chex is ver hard, but here is the seceret. Call and ask who they use before you goto the bank. They will usually tell you. If they dont wait a day or 2 then go and apply for an acct.

If you are on chex it is very hard to get off due to the agreement between the banks and chex. Chex will refer you to the bank then the bank will refer you back and it goes on forever and you dont get off. even if you do pay. Pay for removal usually gets you nowhere.

The good news. Chex only reports for 5 years not 7.

For more info check out www.chexvictims.com they have a form that only deals with Chex issues. they helped me get my new Acct :)
