I do not believe this was a legal document. I think it was one of NCO's tricky "legal sounding" collection efforts. If they sent it to your former employer, they could not have legally served you with anything. Have you seen this "notice"? Airborne express is not a real express mail letter, it is just a fake lookalike mailer. In any case, in Florida your home is exempt from any liens if you have filed homestead exemption. How old is this debt? The collection agency seems to have violated several laws in the FDCPA. Send them a cease and desist letter if the first time you were late on the MBNA credit card is over 4 years ago.
