Once my former employer's address was my mailing address too and as far as MBNA concerns its still my home (or mailing ) address. I directed all my mail there several years ago becuase of convinience. I was an over the road truck driver, and I was never home so it was better for me if everything comes there. The "document" looks like a legal document, on the top says : IN THE NATIONAL ARBIRTRATION FORUM CLAIM Claimant legal representation NCO c/o Wolpoff& Abramson LLP..address, FORUM file number, claimant file number, account number, etc....my name, address, etc....it calls me "RESPONDENT" though, not "PLAINTIFF". I did look up, this Arbitration Forum in fact does exist, they even have a website www.arbirtation-forum.com. then most inportant sentence looks like this " IF YOU DO NOT SERVE THE CLAIMANT AND FILE WITH THE NATIONAL ARBITRATION FORUM A WRITTEN RESOPNSE, AN AWARD MAY BE ENTERED AGAINST YOU. AN ARBIRTATION AWARD MAY BE ENFOPRCED IN COURT AS A CIVIL JUDGEMENT. YOU HAVE 30 DAYS TO RESOPND FROM RECEIPT OF SERVICE." it also says that the decision of this forum cannot be litigated thorough the court system,on any level. signed by a Franco Munoz ESQ...colunsel of claimant so actually its not NCO now, but an attorney's office.
The account is less than 4 years old, and yes I did file a homestead on my home in Florida. I live in my home since 1997.
