You can dispute with them over the phone, but your request is falling on deaf ears and you are not accomplishing anything. WRITE A LETTER OF VALIDATION!!! Read the FCRA and the FDCPA to learn your rights and then write a letter of dispute. There are some great sample letters on faircreditmovement.com and creditnet.com. Start from there and make them prove it to you.
