Don't even tell the CA that much. Just send them a cease and desist letter if you don't want to talk to them and aren't concerned about your credit. The thing is, you can tell them until you're blue in the face what the SOL is, but they can still sue you and get a judgement unless you go to court and use the SOL as your absolute defense.

If I were you, I would send them a validation letter, brush up on the FCRA and FDCPA and be prepared for whatever may come.

If you don't mind me asking, why aren't you concerned about your credit rating?
