The laws for "sale of goods" are in each State's Universal Commercial Codes. Generally speaking, they can repossess anything, and sue you for the difference in value, much like a car repossession.If you want to avoid losing your asset AND having a deficiency judgment lodged against you, I suggest making whatever payment arrangements you can. Unless there is something else involved, like poor merchandise or faulty disclosure on the financing statement.
