Over Internt Credit Checks

Is there any danger in using the intenet 29.95 type services to do a search for judgements, credithistory, etc. If a person has been out of touch with Collection people, is this activitiy in some way going to trigger Coolections to start looking again since it shows u are making an inquiry about yourself?
