They are an attorney's office for Circuit City, or circuit city's company, SNP. She tells me they are not a collection agency, they are a private attny's office. I did get her to send me a letter yesterday, but it just basically stated the payment arrangements, and that once paid, they will update the credit report to an R1 status, and it will show "paid as agreed." Being a private attny's office, are they required to use "normal" collection practices, or, when acting on behalf of their client, can they go right to suit?
