I settled with Shermand Aquistion on a 10,875 amount for 5000. I told them I was close to bankruptcy and they took it. However, make sure that you get the paid in full letter in writing...tell them that once you get it you will send them the check. Also, always get the name and number of who you spoke with. I actually should have brought it down to 3000.
