Any report they make after payment is fraudulant. If you have proof you paid the OC then by default The agreement between the OC and CA becomes void. Paying the OC removes all permissable purpose from the CA. Dispute with the CRAs, Provide all the documentation then. Validate with the CA demanding thier athority to report the debt. The FCRA will apply here not the FDCPA. You are disputing thier right to report the debt.

If the Debt was SOLD to the CA then this will not work. This only works with assigned debts. If a debt is sold to a CA then the CA owns the debt not the OC.

Why Chat is the expert he may have some other ideas.
