Write a letter, addressed to both the attorney and Kaiser, send them to each, rrr. State the situation as yo described. Then state that you are aware of your rights under the FDCPA and the FCRA,that since Kaiser turned over the account to a collection agency they are responsible for his actions in violation of the FDCPA and FCRA. You will give them 30 days to correct any false reports, correctly bill the responsible party for the correct amount, and cease and desist all collection efforts against you.If this is not cleared up to your satisfaction, you will report them both to the FTC, your State's consumer protection office and will file suit against them both for their violations and any damages caused by their actions.
