Hi everyone:
I've read every single on this board and the information that you guys provide is just "priceless".
There are several items that apply to my situation but just need to make sure I'm goint to be doing the right thing.
I have worked very hard at cleaning my credit report, finally there is only one left, the ugly one; originally a cc account, then charge off, now sold charge off. My report says that charge off was bought on 02/02, collection status 02/02. So far, no contact (yet), on record until 11/07. I'm planning on sending validation (correct?) but why the collection status?
How long is the usual for one of these companies to contact debtor? I haven't move in the last 4 years and I paid all my other creditors so I'm pretty sure they have my current info.
