Renewal of a lien/judgement

When renewing a judgement/lien, what is required on the part of the filing attorney? Must you be re-served, and must they do that before the removal period showing on your credit report (the date of the filing), I have a judgement from Sears set to be removed from my credit report on 03/07. I know Sears is pretty diligent about filing in the first place, but how about renewing the judgement? How often do companies do that? Thanks for all the info.
