Advice on debt consolodation

Any advice on if a debt consolodation loan is a good idea? Quick run down- Discover as I mentioned earlier filed a judgement for 2800, but we are paying $70 a month, a few misc things under $1000, student loan, 8000 and our car and truck we owe 10,000. We dont have perfect credit and fell behind due to a streamline refi last year, where the officer told us to stop making house payments as we were going to close in a few days, well they denied the refi because it turned into a 30 days late. We have been current on all bills since Jan. I just want to get the slate cleaned off our credit report, is debt consolidation feesable, a good option? Advice please. Thanks
