You must mean a mediated settlement,not a filed judgment.Once a judgment has actually been filed, and is on record, there is no way I know of to "make payments" on it.If it is a mediated settlement, all you can do is write the lawyer collection agent and tell him you can borrow $1,800 from a relative to completely release the judgment. See what his counter offer is.
