I have said before, and I will say it again. A validation letter that does not dispute the debt is a waste of time. The FCRA is very clear on what is required by the CA's, the CRA's and the debtor. If you want something removed you MUST dispute along with your validation, AND if you want them to stop contacting you, you must SAY SO in the letter. If you are beyond the SOL you can inform them of what the SOL is, but don't tell them you are beyond it as that is an admission you owe the debt.Once they have signed for a COMPLETE letter, if they do not respond, THEN you send copies to the CRA's with a dispute of the entry.
