Ok I know theres a lot of BS that goes on in the credit world, they have a lot of tricks up their sleeves. Now this could probably get you in trouble but believe me it works. If you have a bad debt that has reached SOL, or is paid but still remains on your report, this is how you change it or erase it. Create a letter head with the company's name from which you have the original debt. Im sure you have plenty to copy if they are still trying to collect. Then write a letter to each of the big three credit agencies, using this New letterhead, and request that your account be updated to reflect one of the following: 1. Delete account from your trade line 2. Show as current account, with no prior deliquencies or 3. Show as paid account, with no prior delinquencies - There you go, all clean - this only works with debts that are no longer reported by the original creditor to your credit report.
