Bankruptcy will stay on your credit report 7 years, a "work-out" program like Profina or CCC will stay on your credit report 7 years AFTER you are completed,which usually takes 3-4 year. Where do you want to be 10 years from now? 3 years of good credit build up, or just starting to rebuild your credit?
