Unfortunately your account was pre-Dec.1997, that's when the law was changed to require accurate reporting of first delinquency on an account. If you have any bills, or letters from the original creditor that say that you are past due you can use that to dispute the account as being over-age. This is why I tell people NOT to pay on these older accounts.The TU report will probably not help you.If you signed an agreement when you paid on the account to "bring it current" it will be hard to get it off without original creditor bills.
