Im still doing some extensive checking on the MI licensing site you directed me too.
Im waiting for a supervisor from the Michigan collections licenseing dept. to return my call, I did an online search through licensed collection agencies at the site and found nothing.
If it is correct and they have no license I need to respond to this summons and complaint and enter that they are not registered to file a lawsuit against me on behalf of first select?
How hard is it for a law firm to just go out and obtain a collection license?
This wont throw out my debt will it? They can still try to collect through another collection agency?
So I shouldnt send in my monthly $70 payment thats due on the 15th? Should I wait?
I will let you know what the licensing division has to say.
Why Chat, you are extremely legal smart, are you a lawyer?
You are a godsend to me and I appreciate all you expertise.
I also told a friend about this board and how much you have helped me, I hope she posts and can get some advice from the best!
Thanks
