Ok now Im getting real confused.
I got in touch with janet at the MI collections licensing office.
She basically said they can file a lawsuit only if they own the debt, which weltman weinberg and reis are filing for first select which is a debt collector. First select hired them to collect, because I forst called first select and they said all payments of 70 a month are to be made directly to the law office.
Im confused. SO the discrepency lies within wwr not having a collections licsense right? But wouldnt it fall under first select?
She did state that wwr DO NOT have a collections license in Michigan. They are a law office.
I want to know all my facts before I go to contest this lawsuit.
