Never check your account balances from your business phone, cell phone, parent's phone, friend's phone, etc.
All of those numbers are automatically captured and used to find you. Also, *67 does not always work. Your number can still appear.

Creditors will call all of these numbers trying to locate you, and ask your friends/family how to find you. When they call looking for you, some will make it sound like they are a friend who has lost your number, or leave a message saying they are calling you about a job opening to get you to call back.

The mentality of many collectors is this. It's not illegal if you don't get caught.
