Oh, I just got through doing that - close to an hour on the phone. I explained to them that I have had THEIR service here for 20+ years. Owe just a little over $200 (paid $200 over the last 2 1/2 weeks - that wasn't good enough for them). They TOLD me that I have to make an arrangement otherwise termination will follow. I informed them that this situation is not of my own choosing. Then the gal says, "You came up with $200 - how did you come up with that - and implied that if I can come up with that I could come up with the rest". I explained to her that was from income tax refund which we get (if we are lucky) once a year. Love, how they force you under duress to make an agreement that you know there is know way of keeping. I also explained to her if I had the money it would not be past-due. Talked to 3 different folks. That company Northeast Utilities must train their employees to continuously work on people.
