I have now sent a validation/cease and desist letter to First Resolution. Is it wise to send a letter to the original creditor requesting information? (This was a Capital One account I believed to be paid off). If so, what should the letter say? My credit report says that the account was opened in 3/97...I am in Michigan. Thanks!
