Hello,

I have a few questions as I'm beginning the process of getting myself out of debt. I live in Michigan, if that will matter for any of the answers. I appreciate any and all advice on the following matters:

1) I have a debt from MBNA that has been charged-off and sold to NCO Group in October 2000. MBNA charge-off appears on all of my reports with a $0 balance. However, NCO Group does not appear on my Experian report at all (Thankfully!). Is this common?

2) I have a credit card account with Associates National Bank that has been charged-off October 2001. I had been making payments to them until about 2 months ago when I pulled my Equifax report and found it reported as "paid charge-off". It is still reported as "paid" to everyone except Experian, which lists it as "charged-off" with a balance due. I disputed it so I'll have to see how that turns out but A) If Associates verifies that it is still owed, will that affect the status with the other credit bureas? B) Could I use the reports from the other CRAs to show it as "paid" to Experian?

Thanks in advance for any help!
