I actually can pay off the chargeoffs AND get the new bike which is basically the question I have been asking. Just wanted to know if I should pay the chargeoffs being that they are 2+ years old and being that I don't want the 7 year clock to start over. If that is what I should do I have no problem with that. But I see so many posts on here about how paying them restarts the clock and actually does nothing for your credit except if you are buying a home which all unpaid debts must be paid. I just haven't been sure what would be best to do. Thats why I came here asking people like yourself who know about these things for advice. If you think it is worth it for me to pay them up before I buy the bike, I will do that. It is not an either or situation. I am looking to buy the bike in a month or 2 and have the money now to pay the chargeoffs if that is what I should do. I guess if you were in my shoes what would you do? Thanks
