charge offs

How do I deal with these charge offs? What is the first step? Do I contact the original creditor or the Ca? Also there are two things on my report from the same creditor,same acct..looks like they sold it .It looks like on my report I owe alot more than what I do.Is there anyway to get at least one of these off.
Help I have at least three charge offs I want to get off asap,(well in a good time frame)..
Is there a book or something I can get for help on this?
