You got it! if the 7 yr reporting period is not up, but some time has elapsed since the account was charged off, you can begin disputing these credit report entries, and some of them will probably come off. You will also be starting another process, so be aware. Activity on your credit report notifies collection agencies, and then they start in again trying to get money from you.

So, be prepared to go the full route. You want to trip them up. You want them to disregard your rights, and break the law. That's when you win and they lose. It's best to sound like a rather dumb consumer so they underestimate you ;)
