Tough... I have been there. Single though, so eating top romon for 6 months was no big deal. but for that six months I had 3 jobs... was able to pull in 2600/month net and used 1500 a month to pay down most of my bills and pay off all the the smaller things. That got me just under $9000 (sounds like it would be a bit longer for ya) in debt cleared and two years later my fica is almost 700 (539 starting... currently 669).
Its worth the sacrafice for a little while... and you don't face 7 years of bummer credit life.
