OK- You are legally responsible for all debts in your name unless you take steps to show they were fraudulently obtained.Depending on your State,you may not qualify for bankruptcy, a judgment lien could impair your refinancing or sale of your home, your salary could be garnished,your car or other possessions could be seized and sold at a sheriff's sale.Is that serious enough?
