The bank is only trying to protect its interest. It cant repo a car overseas. Also Europe has some very strict inspections.

Also his first priority when he gets there is to Get a EUSERA (Ithink thats how its spelled.) license. He cannot drive on a regular military or state license. Also he needs to get insurance in europe. There are usually places right off post that deal with the military. The car needs to be inspected as well They dont like rust buckets over there. Emissions and body rust are the biggest things.

Also he needs to get out of the bad habbits US drivers have. Rolling stops, driving 5 miles over the limit, runnnig the yellow light etc. The polizei will not chase you unless its serious. They just run your plate and mail the ticket.

Have him send the car approximiately 2 weeks before he actually leaves. It will arrive about 4 weeks after he gets there depending on how transportation is. This will give him time to pass the driving tests, get insurance etc.

Europe rulse! Best 2 years of my life. Then I had to come back to american beer :(
