There is no law regarding post dated checks. The bank can cash them.
Lesson learned.

I myself had the same experience with sending the Royal Bank Of Canada 12 post dated checks for 100.00. I live in The Bahamas and was tired of having only three days after I received my statement to pay the bill on time.
They cashed everyone of those suckers the day they got them. I was lucky as I had the money in the account to cover it.
They did try to give me a free watch as a consolation prize. I settled for a reduction in my interest rate instead.
