I never validated back when I started out, as I never knew one could do that. I settled with NCO on DH's old debt that with NCO's interest charges had climbed to 13,700. I negociated with them for 3,000 without validating.
The funny thing is that this debt is due to be removed from the report in July and I settled with NCO in March.
The good news for me is NCO also is holding another one of my DH's debts, this one is not going to be so easy for them. They have already lied to me saying the original charge off amount is 300.00 more than is actually is.
I am waiting until July and deletion then I will be slaming them with a Validation letter.

They have been soooooooooo sweet to me on the telephone very very odd.
