Credit bureaus are also bound to investigate and remove the debt from your report. Have you contacted the Federal Trade Commission? They will talk to you about the theft and what to do.
Their toll free Identity Theft Hotline: 1-877-438-4338 or visit their web site at: www.consumer.gov/idtheft They will also send you a booklet giving you step by step directions on who to contact and about the laws that protect the victims of ID Theft. Please call them.
