To add to Linda's advice, since the 7 years is almost up, just let it fall off your report. Unless you need to get it off now (new mortgage, car loan, etc) it will fall off by itself.

In my experience (less than 2 months ago), charged off accounts fell off after I disputed them when they were close to the 7 year mark. Both Equifax and Experian this worked for.
