Intent to Forclose Notice

1995 received an "Intent to Forclose notice on a residential rental property in San Diego. I quickly sold the property paid all the outstandings (mortgage, HOA, taxes etc). My current credit report shows that the property was sold, but still lists the "Intent to Forclose" notice. Can I have the Intent notice removed now since it never went to forclosure, or do I have to wait 7 years?
