As I began my quest to improve my credit, I found my student loans were reported as having lots of late payments. During time periods that I had forebearances, I was reported for late payments. I brought this to their attention by phone + email and confirmed receipt of the email.

The issue is they don't seem to want to get back to me. At this point, it's a few days short of 30 days and they will not respond to my request for an update.

In terms of contacting them [ and requesting that the payment reporting be corrected ] I have my emails and their confirmation email. In terms of paperwork, I have all my forebearance forms [ returned, approved by their office ] and all my payment receipts + checks.

How should I proceed if they fail to respond? What if they refuse to correct the payment reporting?
