Christine, Yes you did strike a nerve with me, although I am trying to respect your right to state your opinion. For one thing, I don't think anyone is saying it is ok to go out and just run up bills they can't pay. And one more thing, I charged groceries when I my kids were little. And you are so wrong about government agencies being there for that. My gosh, do you realize how little a person is allowed to earn to qualify for food stamps? When we added up all the bills there was NO, I said, NO, money for food. I charged food to feed us and if in the same situation I would do it again IN A HEART BEAT. And yes, several years later I would and did file for bankruptcy. It saved us. That is one of the reasons it is there for people.
